February 19, 2017

Observing that common sense, time sense and alertness are vital for the success of an advocate, former High Court Judge Ajit J. Gunjal has called upon the advocates to update their knowledge in keeping with the times.

He was speaking after inaugurating the three-day 15th National Moot Court Competition organised by JSS Law College in association with Chennai’s Surana & Surana International Law Agency (SSILA), at the JSS Law College here on Friday.

Pointing out that there were many books on Law to gain legal knowledge, he said that Law Colleges should make attempts to unearth leadership qualities in their students.

Highlighting that Colleges play a key role in developing skills among students, Justice Gunjal (retd.) said that the Moot Court contest will greatly help in reviving the hidden talent among Law students.

Underlining that rendering legal service is not a business, he exhorted the advocates to render appropriate legal advice to the people, by least bothering about gain or loss.
