March 31, 2018

Periyapatna: In a reported incident, an official who went to the hostel for investigating complaints that the husband of the warden of Girls Pre-Matric Hostel in the town was unnecessarily trespassing into the hostel, has been threatened recently.

Following numerous complaints that Kantharaj, husband of warden Arati, was unnecessarily trespassing into the hostel premises under false pretext and had also demanded money from the hostel staff, the Taluk Backward Classes Welfare Extension Officer Mohan Kumar went to the Girls Pre-Matic hostel a couple of days ago, when Kantharaj is said to have misbehaved with Mohan Kumar and even threatened him.

Mohan Kumar is said to have sent a report to the higher authorities in this regard and has informed them that he himself would take care of the hostel until the on-going SSLC exam comes to a close.
