The public grievances meet held at all Traffic Police Stations in city yesterday, saw a number of complaints on vehicle parking issues, honking, rampant traffic violations etc.,
The citizens who attended the meet at N. R. Traffic Police Station, sought installation of a traffic signal at Fountain Circle, development of Highway Junction, smooth vehicular Movement on Pulakeshi Road etc.,
They also demanded widening of Irwin Road and deployment of Traffic Police on Sawday Road to regulate traffic, among others.
Corporator Suhail Baig, leaders Ilyas Baig, Shivakumar and others attended the meet.
At V. V. Puram Traffic Police Stations, members of the Public Sought deployment of Home guards at prominent junctions and circles for ensuring that road traffic rules are followed and to put an end to repeated violation of one-way traffic rule on certain busy roads. Alleging that youths were increasingly resorting to wheeling at Jayalakshmipuram, V.V.Puram, Gokulam, Vijayanagar and Adjoining areas, the public urged the Police to take action against such youths and also put an end to honking and triple riding which as become common these days.
ACP (Traffic) K. N. Madaiah, who heard the grievances assumed of addressing the woes of the citizens.
Inspector Vivekananda and staff were present. Similar public grievances meet was held at K.R, Devaraja and Siddarthanagar Traffic Police Stations.
