Complaints of irregularities at Music Varsity: Regional Commissioner’s Office deputes staff to review files

Mysore/Mysuru: Following numerous complaints by students and some staff of Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University in city, alleging rampant irregularities and disorder in the Music University, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher Education Department has asked the Regional Commissioner’s Office in Mysuru to conduct an enquiry and submit a report.

Accordingly, the Additional Commissioner (Administration and Development) in the Regional Commissioner’s Office at Mysuru, had deputed its office staff to visit the University for two days (June 24 & 25) and go through the relevant files.  These staff — Y.S. Subramanya and R. Shantaram, both Shirastedars, M.R. Shakuntala, Accountant, H.K. Ramprasad, First Division Assistant (FDA) and B.R. Kemparaju, Second Division Assistant (SDA) — have been asked to submit the findings along with supporting documents to the RC Office on June 26, according to a press release.
