Mysuru: Vidu. Uma Kumar, a Switzerland-based performing artiste, will be presenting a Karnatak vocal concert at the heritage house of Mysore Vasudevacharya, near Agrahara in city on June 15.
She will be accompanied by Vidu. Aditi Krishnaprakash on violin, Vid. Tumkur Ravishankar on mridanga and Vid. Sharat Koushik on ghata. The concert, starting at 10.30 am, is open to all music enthusiasts.

Vidu. Uma Kumar is an accomplished Karnatak singer carrying forward her grandfather Saathur A.G. Subramaniam Iyer’s legacy. With a Master’s degree in Karnatak music, Uma combines her deep-rooted heritage with academic excellence. She has been performing concerts in many countries. In 2024, Vidu. Uma gave an Abhang concert at 2024 Olympics Fan Zone in collaboration with Indian Conservatory of Paris. She has been honoured with several awards, including the title ‘Sai Gaana Saraswathi.’ She has recently launched a thematic musical initiative, named UTSAV 36+, to celebrate Bharat’s rich tapestry of traditional festivals.
Vid. Tumkur is a leading percussionist in the State, with an experience spanning about four decades. Vidu. Aditi and Vid. Sharath, both graded in AIR, are young accomplished artistes, having accompanied top rated elders quite often.
