Mysore/Mysuru: Vidu. K.S. Ramamani, a senior artiste from Mysuru, will present a Karnatak vocal concert at Sangeetha Kalanidhi Mysore Vasudevacharya’s house, near Basaveshwara Circle, New Sayyaji Rao Road, tomorrow (Apr. 19) at 10.30 am.
She will be accompanied by Vid. M.V. Shantha Kumar on violin and Vid. M.S. Lakshmikanth on mridanga.
Profile: Vidu. Ramamani, now 76, has been a popular musician and teacher in city. A disciple of Sri Munivenkatappa in Davanagere and Vid. A.R. Krishnamurthy, a well-known musician of yesteryears, she has been performing for nearly six decades now.
Vid. Shantha Kumar (disciple of Vid. Mahadevappa and Vid.HKN) and Vid. Lakshmikanth (grandson and disciple of Vid.Rajappa) have been both performing for decades now.
