Concert at Vasudevacharya’s house in city on June 19

Mysore/Mysuru: Vidu. Srimatha Ramanand, an established Karnatak vocalist from Bengaluru, is presenting a vocal concert at Sri  Mysore Vasudevacharya’s house in Agrahara here on June 19 (Sunday). The concert, scheduled for two hours from 10.30 am, is open to the public.

She will be accompanied by Vidu. Prithvi Bhaskar on violin and Vid. Adamya Ramanand, A-grade AIR artiste, on mridanga.

Vidu. Srimatha, daughter of top graded Veena artiste Vidu.  Geetha Ramanand, has been trained under famed vocalist Sangeetha Kala Acharya Vidu. M.S. Sheela.  A B-High grade vocalist of AIR, Srimatha has three Masters’ degrees — M.A. (Music), M.A. (English) and M. Phil. (English).

Prithvi Bhaskar, a highly talented violinist, is the daughter of famed artiste Vid. H.N. Bhaskar and a student of her grandfather Vid. H.K. Narasimha Murthy. 

Vid. Adamya Ramanand, brother of Vidu. Srimatha, had his initial training under Vid. M.A. Krishnamurthy and advanced training under mridangist Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman.
