Congress distributes free petrol to 150 auto drivers in protest against rising fuel prices

Mysore/Mysuru: The Congress party on Saturday registered its protest against rising fuel prices by distributing one litre petrol for free to 150 auto drivers of the city. Former KR MLA M.K. Somashekar launched the free petrol distribution at Amma Community Hall in Dattagalli.

Speaking on the occasion, Somashekar slammed the Centre for rising fuel prices, which is pinching the pockets of the common man, who is already put to a lot of hardship due to COVID-19 induced lockdown.

Later, a meeting to discuss the preparations for the coronation of D.K. Shivakumar as KPCC President was held. Taluk Panchayat Member Mahadevamma, party leaders Gurupadaswamy, Umashankar, Chandru Vishwakarma, Praveen, Donald, Vijayalakshmi, Charanraj, Sathanur Nagesh, Hinkal Manju and others were present.
