Constable dies of heart attack

Mysuru: Girish (35), a Police Constable attached to V.V. Puram Traffic Police Station, reportedly died of a heart attack this morning.

A resident of Lakshmikanthanagar in city, he is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

Girish returned home after attending traffic duties at a point on Ring Road late last night as part of the Bannimantap Parade Ground programme for the trailer launch of ‘Seetharama Kalyana’ starring Nikhil Kumaraswamy.

Girish attended duty at V.V. Puram Traffic Police Station as usual at 8 am today and after sometime, he complained of chest pain. Girish was rushed to Brindavan Hospital where he breathed his last due to a heart attack sometime later, it is learnt.

A 2009 batch Police Constable, Girish was recently transferred from V.V. Puram Station to V.V. Puram Traffic Police Station.
