Virajpet: A  Police constable attached to Virajpet DySP office, died of heart attack while on duty yesterday. Anand Dollin (35), a native of Sangolli village in Gokak taluk of Belgavi district is the deceased cop.

Dollin complained of chest pain while on duty at DySP office at about 6.30 am on Friday, following which he was being rushed to Virajpet General Hospital, when he died enroute. Dollin was a 2015 batch Police Constable and was serving in Virajpet for the last 9 years. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends. His body was handed over to his brother Mahesh Kumar Basavaraj Dollin after the post-mortem at the Government Hospital.

Kodagu SP Ramarajan, Additional SP Sundarraj, DySP Mohan Kumar, Virajpet CPI Shivarudra and other police personnel paid their last respects.
