Construction materials worth Rs. 1.20 lakh looted

Mysore/Mysuru: An ex-employee of a private company in Hebbal Industrial Area has been accused of stealing construction materials worth Rs. 1.20 lakh which was stored in the company.

Virsa Road Safety, a company on Rane Madras Road in city, which is involved in manufacturing thermoplastic road marking, traffic sign board and metal beam crash barrier in city, had stored materials to construct retaining walls around lakes.

The theft came to light on May 3 and on going through CCTV footages, it was seen that the former driver of the company, along with his two accomplices, was stealing the materials.

Based on the CCTV footages, company owner H.S. Somashekar, on May 9, lodged a complaint in this regard at Hebbal Police Station who are investigating.
