Construction of building in Park Court orders status quo

Mysuru” City’s Principal Civil and JMFC Court has ordered status quo in connection with a building that is coming up at the Park on seventh cross, Ramakrishnanagar I-Block in city.

One Stephen Sujith, a resident of the locality, accusing that the building was unauthorisedly coming up in the Park with support from local Corporator M. Lakshmi (Ward No.46), had moved the Court seeking a stay on the construction of the building, which was allegedly coming up in violation of the Karnataka Municipalities Act.

Stephen Sujith, in his petition, had named Corporator M. Lakshmi, the MCC Commissioner and Zone-3 MCC Assistant Commissioner as the respondents in the case. The Court, which heard Sujith’s petition recently, ordered for maintaining status quo, it is learnt.
