August 1, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Even as the new building of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Zone-1 office was inaugurated on Saturday, the works on the construction of new buildings for Zone-3 and 5 office is going on at a brisk pace. After the completion of these two buildings, all the 9 MCC Zonal offices will have full-fledged own buildings to serve the people of the city.

While the new building for Zone-3 office is coming up at Sharadadevinagar, the one for Zone-5 office is coming up at Manchegowdanakoppal (M.G. Koppal).  As far as the rest of the Zonal offices are concerned, the MCC Zonal-2 office is already functioning from a Government building near Jayanagar Railway Gate. The Zone-4 office is functioning from own building at Akashvani Circle on KRS Road, while Zone-6 office is functioning from own building on Seshadri  Iyer Road in the heart of the city, Zone-8 office is functioning at Udayagiri and Zone-9 office is housed in Gayatripuram.

However, though MCC Zone-7 is functioning from own building at FTS Circle on Bengaluru Road, a work order has been issued for the construction of a new building within the premises, as the current building is a old one and lacked infrastructure.

MCC Zone-5 office building works underway at Manchegowdanakoppal.

The new MCC Zonal offices will have vehicle parking facility, separate chambers for Zonal Officer, Revenue Officer, Development Officer and  Assistant Engineer, a Cash Counter, a Revenue Collection Section, toilets and other facilities.

Zonal offices will provide services such as Khata for properties measuring not more than 50’x80’ in dimension and coming under their jurisdiction, revenue stipulation, plan approval, issuance of CR (Completion Report) etc.
