Cooch Behar Cricket Tournament: Hosts Karnataka aim to get hold of match

Hosts Karnataka, who handed over a 5 runs  slender lead to Uttar Pradesh in the first innings, made the visitors struggle for runs in their second innings on the third day of the 4-day Under-19 Cooch Behar Cricket tournament being played at SDNR Wadiyar Stadium in Manasagangothri here this afternoon.

Resuming at their overnight score of 47/3, Uttar Pradesh moved slowly to 113/5 at Lunch (61 overs), losing two more wickets in the first session of the third day. For UP, Kavya Thiotia scored a vital  48 runs and Shushant 29 runs, before both fell . Wicket Keeper Akshay Deby was 3 Not out and Shubham Mishra  with 8 runs were at the crease at Lunch.

Brief scores: First Innings- UP-239 All out, Karnataka – 234 All out (Hardik Raj 67 n.o, K.P.Kartikeya 49, Shubham Mishra- 48/3).
