Cops rescue runaway boy; hand him over to parents

Mysore/Mysuru: A boy, who had run away from his house, has been rescued by Devaraja Police.

On Wednesday, a few auto drivers saw the boy moving around Sub-Urban Bus Stand at about 9.45 pm and enquired him during which they came to know that he was about 9-years-old and had run away from his house in Periyapatna after his father had scolded him. The auto drivers then handed him over to Devaraja Traffic Police.

The Police, who enquired the boy, informed Bettadapura Police and then sent the boy to Periyapatna in a KSRTC bus besides instructing the bus driver and conductor to keep vigil on the boy. Devaraja Traffic Police then passed information about the bus number in which the boy was sent.  When the bus arrived at Periyapatna, the boy’s parents along with Police reached the Bus Stand and took the boy.
