Corruption at Kannada Sahitya Parishat: Lokayukta complaint filed

November 18, 2017

Mysuru: Over 15 members representing various Kannada forums have filed a complaint with Lokayukta Police against Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep, Department of Kannada and Culture Assistant Director H. Chennappa and District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Dr. Y.D. Rajanna accusing them of dereliction of duty, misuse of office and corruption in organising the forthcoming 83rd Akhila Bharatha Kannada Sahitya  Sammelana.

The complaint was submitted by writer Bannur K. Raju. The complainants alleged that despite filing submitting several complaints since the past one year regarding the alleged corruption at the Mysuru District Kannada Sahitya Parishat, no action has been taken to investigate the matter.

They also accused the officials for supporting Rajanna since he too was a Government employee.
