JSS Dental College and Hospital (JSSDCH), had organised ‘Counselling Skill Training’ for JSS Dental Faculty recently.

Dr. Nawab Akhtar Khan, Clinical Psychologist and Associate Professor at JSS Medical College & Hospital, Mysuru, was the resource person.

The event was presided by Dr. Anil Kumar Gujjari, Principal, JSSDCH, Dr. M.R. Dhakshaini, Vice Principal, JSSDCH and Dr. V.G. Mahima,  Professor, Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology, JSSDCH.  

JSS Dental College in its efforts to help the students have a healthy, happy and comfortable life, regularly conducts student counselling to provide professional assistance and guidance in resolving personal or psychological problems.

Counselling can offer the student, a space to talk and think about problems and difficulties and many people find it helpful to be able to do this with someone who is not a friend or family member. Through this training programme, the faculty members were empowered with the skills and techniques required for student counselling.
