Mysore/Mysuru: The physical hearing of cases in Law Courts, which were suspended following the outbreak of the deadly COVID-19 contagion in March, will resume in full scale from Oct.12.
Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court A.S. Oka and other Judges of the HC held a video- conference with office-bearers of Mysuru Bar Association recently, during which the Judges are said to have advised and issued directions on COVID-19 precautionary and safety measures to be taken for the conduct of physical hearings. Later, it was decided to resume hearings in the City and District Law Courts from Oct.12.
The video-conference took place at the new Court Complex at Malalawadi (Jayanagar) in the city. Mysuru Bar Association Secretary B. Shivanna, Hunsur Bar Association President Jayaram, Secretary Veeresh Rao, Periyapatna Bar Association President J.S.Nagaraj, Secretary K.Manju, Nanjangud Bar Association President C.L. Basavaraj and others took part.
