COVID isn’t over yet, let us be cautious

March 22, 2021

Sir,

With an increase in COVID cases, people are more lax with the rules to be followed. Masks are not made compulsory, nor is social distancing being enforced in Colleges and some Schools. Only a few stores and supermarkets are still conducting temperature checks and providing sanitisers.

As responsible citizens, we must be safe and inform those who are not following the rules as they might be putting others in danger. Even though we now have a vaccine, its effectiveness is still to be determined. The vaccines will take time to reach us all so we must not take these precautionary measures lightly.

It might be a good idea for the Government to re-announce preventive measures and redouble their efforts to enforce them in public spaces.
