Cracker blast: One succumbs to injuries in H.D.Kote Taluk

Mysuru: One person among the seven, who had sustained burn injuries in an accidental cracker blast that occurred at Madapura in H.D. Kote taluk last Friday, succumbed to his injuries at K.R. Hospital here yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Harish (28) of Udbur village in Mysuru taluk.

The condition of Mallanayaka, 60, who also sustained serious burn injuries in the incident, is said to be critical.

Seven persons, who included five teenged boys, were admitted to K.R. Hospital after they sustained burn injuries in the cracker explosion that took place at an old building at Madapura on Jan.26. The building completely collapsed due to the impact of the explosion.

The crackers were being manufactured for a Temple Jathra, when the explosion took place, it is learnt.
