Credit for clean Dasara goes to workers: Commissioner

October 23, 2026

Mysuru: Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner M.K. Savitha has thanked civic workers and officials for their efforts in keeping the city clean during Dasara. The staff had been working for over a month to manage the waste generated during the festivities.

Savitha said the work had drawn appreciation from tourists, visitors and dignitaries. “The credit belongs to you,” she told the workers, acknowledging the long hours they put in, often late into the night. She urged them to continue the work throughout and not limit to festival season. Keeping Mysuru clean, she said, should be a year-round exercise.

“Mysuru’s cleanliness is our collective pride and it reflects the dedication of our team,” Savitha said, thanking the workers and officials.
