Mysuru: Students of The Cresta School of Management, Science and Arts, Bannur Road, Mysuru, welcomed the New Year with ‘Crestall’, an annual charity event conducted for underprivileged children at the Government Higher Primary School, Kyathamaranahalli on Jan.4.  Cresta organises the charity event to encourage students to look beyond their personal ambitions and understand the reality around them.

Promoting social and civic consciousness, Crestall teaches students how to empathise and not sympathise, with those less fortunate than them.

The College students distributed among the school children coupons of various denominations to exchange for the school supplies, clothes and toys displayed in the stalls. Purchasing the materials of their choice, the children felt empowered by the donation.  Students of Cresta also entertained the children with cultural programmes. Lunch was served by Cresta, along with distributing prizes to winners of contests.  K.R. Rajiv, President of RR Foundation and L. Savithri, Head Mistress of the School,  addressed the gathering.
