Cricket betting: Bookie arrested, Rs. 3,700 cash, mobile phone, two-wheeler seized

Mysuru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) Police, acting on a tip off on May 17, raided a public place near Vittala Dhama in JP Nagar here and arrested a bookie who was indulging in cricket betting and seized Rs. 3,700 cash, five ATM cards, a mobile phone, a Honda Activa scooter and other items from him.

The arrested bookie has been identified as 40-year-old V. Srikantveer of Janatha Layout in JP Nagar.

A case has already been registered against Srikantveer in Vidyaranyapuram Police Station.

CCB ACP C. Gopal supervised CCB Inspector J.C. Raju, Vidyaranyapuram Inspector J.C. Raghu, CCB ASIs L. Subash Chandra and R. Raju and others in the raid, nabbing and seizing operation.
