Mysuru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) Police, on Friday, raided a residence in Ashokapuram where cricket betting was going on and arrested a person involved in illegal cricket betting besides seizing Rs. 32.2 lakh cash, four cell phones, LED TV and a currency counting machine from the residence.
The arrested has been identified as R.C. Jayakumar, a resident of 4th Cross in Ashokapuram.
Acting on a tip off, the CCB Police raided the house where the betting was taking place during the T20 match between Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
A case has been registered at Ashokapuram Police Station in this regard.
