Cricket: UoM enters semi-finals

Inspiring performance by M. Venkatesh (63 & two for 29) and medium-pacers K. Shashank (four for 30, Yodhan Hrudhay three for 13) enabled University of Mysore (UoM) to enter semi-finals in the Rohinton Bharia All India Inter-University Cricket Tournament 2018-19 by beating Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, by 83-runs in the quarter-finals played at Ravenshaw University Grounds in Bhubaneswar yesterday.

Scores — UoM: 229 in 45 overs (M. Venkatesh 63, M. Varun 43, P. Vishnu 33, Madan Mohan 28, Vikas Yadhav 8 for 39) bt MDU, Rohtak: 146 in 31.5 overs (Subham Dahiya 77, Mrinal Mudgil 33, K. Shashank 4 for 30, Yodhan Hrudhay 3 for 13, M. Venkatesh 2 for 29).
