Cricketer Javagal Srinath flags off solo padayatra for promotion of yoga and environmental conservation

Mysore/Mysuru: Former Indian cricketer Javagal Srinath flagged off the yoga and environmental conservation awareness solo padayatra undertaken by Krishna Nayaka of Udbur in Jayapura Hobli of the taluk, in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple here on Sunday.

The padayatra taken out with the theme ‘Divided by States, United by Yoga’ will pass through Hunsur, Kushalnagar and Madikeri to enter Kerala via Kasaragod. The yatra, which will go on for two years, will cover many States of the country, during which Krishna Nayaka will create awareness among school children and the general public on practicing yoga and the importance of environmental conservation by planting saplings and sowing seedballs along the roads that he passes through.

Yoga Guru Dr. Raghavendra Pai, Udbur Gram Panchayat President Krishna, Dr. Prashanth, Rangaswamy, Dayakar and others were present.
