Founder and CEO of WIZ Logtec India Private Limited Ramkumar Govindarajan highlights transformative impact
Mysore/Mysuru: Founder and CEO of WIZ Logtec India Private Limited Ramkumar Govindarajan underscored the critical role of efficient cross-border logistics and supply chain management in achieving sustainable growth in the era of globalisation.
Speaking at a session organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mysuru Zone, themed “Unlocking Growth Opportunities,” held at Hotel Southern Star, Govindarajan highlighted the transformative impact of digitisation on cross-border logistics.
He emphasised how the digitisation of the supply chain has revolutionised cross-border logistics by streamlining and optimising shipment processes. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as advanced data analytics, IoT devices, and cloud-based platforms enables businesses to achieve unprecedented visibility and control over their supply chain through a digital control tower.
This digital transformation allows for real-time tracking of shipments, facilitating proactive decision-making, seamless communication between suppliers and buyers and minimising delays. Automated documentation and electronic communication systems further contribute to efficiency and accuracy in customs clearance procedures, making the supply chain more resilient, adaptable and responsive to international trade demands, he noted.
The session focused on critical aspects of strategic urban development, efficient cargo movement, and sustainable economic growth, with a special emphasis on Mysuru’s expansion in Logistics & Supply Chain.
CII Mysuru Chairman Sam Cherian expressed enthusiasm about the session, considering it a pivotal moment for Mysuru’s sustainable economic growth and urban development in logistics and supply chain management.
Country Head-India at VS&B Containers Group, A.M. Srikanth highlighted the immense opportunities presented by Karnataka’s cargo potential and the strategic focus on industrial growth. He stressed the importance of stakeholders collaborating to address infrastructure challenges for unlocking the full potential of the transportation and logistics sector.
Santosh Gundapi, Convenor of Manufacturing and Technology, MSME & TQM Panel of CII Mysuru, underlined the significance of industry collaboration and CII membership. He encouraged participants to consider CII Mysuru membership as a strategic advantage, fostering growth, inclusiveness, and trust in the business community.
