Mysuru: The C.A.U.S.E. (Co-operation of the Arts for the Underprivileged in Society & Environment) Foundation, has organised a music performance titled Cry-Baby: The Musical at Jaganmohan Palace in city from 6.30 pm tomorrow.

Set in 1950s Baltimore, Cry-Baby, the Musical is a vibrant, rebellious comedy about love, identity and defying social norms. The story follows Wade ‘Cry-Baby’ Walker, an outsider and leader of the ‘Drapes’, whose world collides with that of Allison Vernon-Williams — of the prim ‘Squares’, who falls for his unapologetic charm.

Their unlikely romance sparks a clash between conformity and individuality — a timeless issue but never more relevant than now.

Cry-Baby is filled with high-energy rockabilly music and sharp humour with a powerful message about embracing who you are.

Boldly entertaining and visually dynamic, Cry-Baby is a must-see, feel-good experience.

The cast includes Bengaluru’s finest new and old singing, acting, dancing  and musical talents Rahael Thomas, Deepa Jacob, Kieren Alvares-Lynn, Samiksha Chawla, Aakarsh Paul, Arvind Kasthuri and Prem Koshy among others.

The show is directed by Leila Alvares and music is composed by Aashish Paul and assisted by R. Sabarisha. The show is choreographed by Elexer Fernandes, Aarushi Turakhia, Kieren & Keira Alvares.
