CSI, Mysore Chapter, fetes Founder-President, members

Mysore/Mysuru: The Cardiological Society of India (CSI), Mysore Chapter, celebrated its Silver Jubilee in a grand manner and also honoured office-bearers who were instrumental in the birth of the Mysore Chapter.

Some Consultants, who were unable to attend the felicitation held recently, were invited  for a function at Hotel Grand Mercure on New Sayyaji Rao Road in city. Following  eminent Consultant Doctors were felicitated: 

Dr. S. Vishweswaran, Founder-President; Dr. B.V. Rajagopal, Dr. Arun Srinivas, Dr. P. Jayakumar, Founder-Members and Past Presidents.

A scientific meet was also held on the topic “Pulmonary embolism” where experts gave a lucid update on the same. The speakers were honoured with mementos by organisers. The programme was held under the leadership of Dr. J. Veenu and Dr. S. Hema, President and Secretary of csi Mysore Chapter.

The function was well attended by all the Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons and Consultants of other specialities.

CSI, Mysore Chapter, is a pioneer association which is actively involved in holding the Continuing Medical Education (CME) in Cardiology on monthly meet, invited guest lectures from eminent doctors of the field, personal interactions with in and around Mysuru doctors  during monthly meets, hosting of public education and medical awareness camps. It also is actively involved in hosting State Conferences of Cardiological Society of India, Karnataka Chapter.

With the untiring efforts of like-minded people, CSI Mysore Chapter came into existence 25 years ago on 25.8.1998 at Hotel Lalitha Mahal Palace in city under the leadership of

Founder-President Dr. S. Vishweswaran and Founder-Secretary Dr. Balakrishnachar.
