Mysore/Mysuru: As part of its 151st Cultural Outreach Programme,  Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), Mysuru, in association with BVB Bengaluru and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru, has organised ‘Bharatanatya: Nrutya Vaibhava’ by Shraddha Dance Ensemble (Shama Krishna and her disciples) at BVB premises in Vijayanagar 1st Stage, Mysuru, on Sept. 20 at 6 pm.

K. Shama Krishna, hailing from Bengaluru, is one of the foremost performing artistes of classical dance in India. She has completed her Proficiency level examination in Bharatanatyam, a Master’s degree holder from Sastra University in Tanjavur. An A-graded artiste of Bengaluru DD, she is also an empanelled artiste of ICCR. A recipient of senior level scholarship from the HR Department, Government of India, she has been trained in the 108 Karanas of Natya Sastra by late Guru Sundari Santanam. She has been very fortunate to receive training in Natya Sastra elements by Padma Vibhushan Guru Dr. Padma Subramaniam from whom she continues to learn Bharatanritya.
