Sir,
I had been to Srirampura Town Panchayat Office to obtain an approved building plan. The current process is really cumbersome to applicants, compared to earlier method.
Earlier there used to be one agency, Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), where people used to apply with all necessary documents. After paying the fees specified by MUDA, the building plan used to be issued to applicants. It was really simple and applicant-friendly. Now, in addition to Mysuru Development Authority (MDA), the Local Bodies such as Gram Panchayat, Town Panchayat, Municipal Panchayat have to approve the building plan respectively depending on the jurisdiction.
The applicants have to prepare building plan with the help of a MDA-approved engineer. The engineer uploads all documents to Panchayat Office website and he/she provides his/her e-mail ID to Panchayat Office.
After approval of plan by Panchayat, the plan goes to the e-mail ID of the engineer and the applicant has to go to engineer’s place to collect the plan. This is not correct and not in favour of applicants. The approved plan must be sent to the e-mail ID of the applicant, otherwise the applicants would be at the mercy of the engineer.
I request the Chief Officer (CO) to collect e-mail ID of the applicant and send the approved plan (PDF) to the applicant directly.
