D. Devaraj Urs Award for Kagodu Thimmappa

Bengaluru: Veteran politician and former Minister and Legislative Assembly Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa has been selected for this year’s prestigious D. Devaraj Urs Award, according to Kannada and Culture Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi.

A committee headed by senior writer H.S. Ramachandregowda (Hi. Shi. Ramachandregowda) has chosen veteran Congress leader Kagodu Thimmappa for the award.

He will be conferred the award at the 108th birth anniversary of D. Devaraj Urs to take place at the Banquet Hall of Vidhana Soudha at 11 am on Aug. 20.
