Mysuru: The city’s renowned publisher D.N. Lokappa of Samvahana Prakashana will be felicitated on tomorrow (Aug.19), marking his 70th Birthday Celebration.

Announcing this at a press meet here recently, the felicitation Committee President M.G. Sadanandaiah said, the felicitation function will take place at JSS Women’s College in Saraswathipuram at 11 am on Aug.19.

Pointing out that D.N. Lokappa is a well-known figure in the Book Publishing Industry, he said that-the publisher will be felicitated on his 70th birthday.

Veteran Littérateur Dr. C.P. Krishnakumar will preside. Critic Dr. N.S. Taranath will deliver the felicitation address. Kannada Development Authority (KDA) Chairman Prof. S.G. Siddharamaiah will release the felicitation volume titled ‘Lokapriya’.

Sirigere Taralabalu Mutt Seer Dr. Shivamurty Shivacharya Swamiji and Suttur Mutt Seer Shivaratri  Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion, Sadanandaiah said and added that Nitin Rajaram Shastri and team will present Vachana Gayana programme at 10 am on Aug.19. Former MLC Thontadarya, writers Morabada Mallikarjuna, D. Nagendrappa, M. Chandrasekhar and others were present at the press meet.
