Mysore/Mysuru: A highly informative workshop on ‘HR Career Opportunities and the Role of Human Resource Management’ was organised for MBA students at Daksha First Grade College (FGC) in Hootagalli recently.
More than 60 MBA students participated in the session, gaining valuable insights into the dynamic field of HR and corporate expectations. The workshop featured eminent industry experts who shared their knowledge and professional experiences with the students.
Hemanth Kumar Mohan, Manager – Human Resource at Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd., Mysuru, was the chief guest and keynote speaker.
With over 18 years of experience in Human Resource Management, he spoke about the evolving role of HR in organisations and highlighted major HR functions such as talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, training and development, compensation and benefits, and labour relations.
During his interaction, he explained the various professionals who work under the HR Department, including HR Managers, Recruiters, Training Coordinators, Payroll Executives, Employee Relations Officers and Talent Acquisition Specialists. He also guided students on career opportunities and the essential skills required building a successful career in HR.
Hemanth Kumar, who has previously worked with reputed organisations, is also known for mentoring students and contributing actively to professional HR forums.
M. Phaneesh, Founder of Skill First Academy, addressed students on employability, professional competencies and industry readiness.
Through his organisation, he has been actively conducting training programmes, workshops and corporate interaction sessions aimed at bridging the gap between academics and industry expectations.
The workshop proved to be highly interactive and beneficial for the students, offering practical exposure to HR careers and corporate culture.
Students appreciated the session for providing real-world insights and guidance for their future professional journey.
