Dakshayani (62), wife of late L. Balakrishna and a resident of Balakrishna Rao Road in Chamarajapuram, passed away this morning following brief illness.

Daughter-in-law of former MUDA Chairman D. Lingaiah, she leaves behind daughters Sushma Druva and Chennamma, son-in-law Druva Urs and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill today
