Dalai Lama inaugurates Debating Hall, Science Centre at Sera Mey Monastery in Bylakuppe

Bylakuppe: Tibetan Spiritual Leader Dalai Lama inaugurated the Debating Hall and the Science Centre at Sera Mey Thoesam Norling Monastery at Sera Lama Camp in Bylakuppe this morning.

The programme was attended by Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Mutt Seer Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji and a host of other dignitaries.

On the occasion, Suttur Seer and Adichunchanagiri Seer felicitated Dalai Lama and sought his blessings. The Dalai Lama in turn, presented them with the idols of Lord Buddha.

President of Tibetan-Government-in-Exile Lobsang Sangay, MP Pema Dalek, Indo-Tibet Friendship President B.V. Javaregowda, Co-ordinator J.T. Urs, Settlement Officers Delak and Lhakpa Tsering and Monks from across the country and abroad numbering about 10,000 attended the programme.

Renovated Golden Temple to be inaugurated tomorrow: The Golden Temple at Namdroling Monastery camp in Bylakuppe, which was closed for the public in the month of June 2017 for renovation, will be re-opened with the Tibetan Spiritual Leader Dalai Lama inaugurating it tomorrow morning and will be open for the general public from Dec.23.

The Dalai Lama will also be presiding over the 7th Convocation Ceremony of Ngagyur Nyingma Institute tomorrow.
