Dance Drama ‘Vishwamatha Goumatha’ on Saturday

Mysuru: A Dance Drama titled ‘Vishwamatha Goumatha’ in Kannada and Hindi, will be staged at Jaganmohan Palace in city on Oct. 21 (Saturday) at 5 pm, under the aegis of Shree Shakthidarshan Yogashram, Kinnigoli, Mangaluru.

Announcing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan in city on Tuesday, Yogacharya Devababa of the Yogashram said that the dance-drama, directed by K.V. Raman Mangaluru with Dr. M. Prabhakar Joshi’s script and screenplay, is aimed at creating awareness on how mankind is entirely depending on Indian breed of cows and the need to fight to save precious breeds of cow.

Stating that already 14 shows have been staged in Karnataka and one in Chennai, the Yogacharya said that ‘Vishwamatha Goumatha’ will be performed till December and the one to presented at Mysuru on Oct. 21 will be the 16th show.

The event at Mysuru will be graced by Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji. Danseuse Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy, Industrialist Dr. B.R. Pai and Maharani’s Arts College Principal Channabasavegowda will be the chief guests. For details, contact Mob: 97432-09540.
