Dance feature ‘Soldier’ pays tribute to martyrs

The art-lovers in city were treated with some best dance performances by the participants aged between 4 and 61 years during the two-day Hejje-Gejje dance festival held as part of the 20th anniversary of Sri Nimishamba Dance School at Jaganmohan Palace auditorium in city recently.

Around 105 students headed by Nimishamba Dance School Director Vid. Sridhar Jain presented a dance feature titled ‘Soldier’ as a tribute to the martyred soldiers.

The event was inaugurated by Film Director Sudhakar Saja. Later, the students presented a dance performance to the song ‘Dilta Dilta’ from Pushpaka Vimana.  They also performed shadow play which was followed by a comedy skit by Ramesh Babu and Gopi of Comedy Kiladi fame. Ten ex-servicemen were felicitated on the occasion. Advocate M.D. Harish Kumar Hegde, actor ‘Darling’ Krishna and others were present.
