Dangerous traffic rules violation

December 9, 2023

Sir,

Of late the new trend followed by the compulsive traffic rules violators are to drive and wait on the right hand side of the road meridian, against the on-coming vehicles when the signal is red.

As soon as the signal turns green, these habitual traffic rules violators are in a tearing hurry to drive past the vehicles waiting at the signal.

Most of these are either two-wheelers or autos and they cut across the moving traffic, towards the left hand-side  of the road causing unwarranted tension for the motorists obeying  the traffic rules.

This dangerous traffic rules violation is happening at almost all the road junctions and at the traffic signal lights, manned by the Traffic Police and also right in front of  the Traffic Police Stations.

Unfortunately our Traffic Police have been ignoring this serious traffic rules violation. I request the City Police Commissioner to look into this.
