Danush Vaccination Campaign-2017 launched in city

Mysuru: The fourth phase of Mission India Danush Vaccination Campaign -2017, mooted by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, was launched this morning at the Anganwadi Centre in Sathagalli here.

The campaign will go on till May 19 in the district and the immunisation vaccine will be administered to children in the age group of 0 to 6 years and pregnant women covering people from slums and unorganised labour class.  

The campaign was launched by Corporator Rajani Annaiah. DHO Dr. Basavaraj and others were present. The campaign will be held at 769 centres in the district utilising 21 mobile vans. About 9200 children and 2100 pregnant women have been identified to be administered vaccines during a survey.
