Mysuru: In the wake of Dasara High Power Committee meeting scheduled in Bengaluru on Aug.9, City Police Commissioner K.T. Balakrishna held a preliminary meeting to discuss on security arrangements with all Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) and Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) (ACPs) at his office in Nazarbad yesterday.
Addressing the meeting, he said that it was important to provide basic necessities and adequate security during Dasara as it attracts a large number of tourists not only from our country but also from foreign countries.
The City Top Cop also briefed the meeting about the security arrangements to be made during the inauguration of this year’s Dasara and Jumboo Savari.
The meeting also discussed about the number of additional Police personnel to be brought from other districts and Forces to be deployed, installation of barricades and checkpoints.
He also instructed the officials to review the CCTV cameras and make arrangements for setting up mobile command centre besides instructing the Chamundi Commando Force and Mounted Police to be ready for the 10-day festival.
DCPs M. Muthuraj, B.T. Kavitha and Chennaiah, ACPs Gajendra Prasad, Gopal, Lokesh, G.N. Mohan and Shailendra were present during the preliminary meeting.
