Dasara illumination: A disappointing show

October 18, 2024

Sir,

Today, we hired a taxi at considerable expense to tour Mysuru and see the much-anticipated Dasara illumination, as my relatives visiting from America were eager to experience it.

Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed as many places had no lights at all.

I was informed that there was some issue with payments, but in the end, we became the victims of this mismanagement. It’s clear that whoever was responsible for overseeing this has failed, and as a result, our visitors are leaving with a poor impression of highly touted lighting display, which is supposed to be one of the main highlights of Dasara celebrations.
