Dasara illumination till Nov.3

October 25, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Dasara illumination, one of the prominent attractions in this time of the year, will be on till Nov.3, with no decision on extending it.

An Officer attached to Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (Cesc) told Star of Mysore today that “While the city will remain illuminated till Nov.3, there is no direction yet from the Government to extend it further.”

It may be mentioned that, the illumination began with the inauguration of ‘Green Pandal’ on Sayyaji Rao Road, coinciding with the launch of Navarathri festivities on Oct.15.

Approximately 120 kms of roads and 98 Circles have been lit up, comprising 86 images, cut outs and artistic artefacts designed, with majority on display in the heart of the city. Replicas of buildings and notable personalities at various junctions are the major attractions. The illumination will be from 7 pm to 10 pm.
