Dasara Jumboo Savari: Applications invited from cultural troupes

Applications have been invited from cultural troupes for participating in Jumboo Savari procession, the last leg of Nada Habba Mysuru Dasara-2024. Jumboo Savari is scheduled on Oct. 12 in the city and applications have been invited from folk troupes of all the districts in the State. The last date to submit the application is Sept. 10, 2024.

The application should be submitted along with the photo of the troupe, details of troupe members, postal address and phone number of troupe head. The application should be submitted to Deputy Special Officer, Dasara Procession Sub-Committee, City Police Commissioner or Assistant Director (Coordinator), Dasara Procession Sub-Committee and Kannada & Culture Department, Mysuru.

The Experts Committee will decide on the applications, considering the best of the costume, traditional and unique style and the art form, stated City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar, also the Deputy Special Officer, Dasara Procession and Torchlight Parade Sub-Committee.
