Dasara elephants Abhimanyu, Bheema and Drona, which will be taking part in this year’s Dasara festivities, are being given bath by the Mahouts at Kanthapura Lake in Matthigodu Elephant Camp in Nagarahole Reserve Forest, Hunsur Division. These elephants are being given special diet from July 18. Neem oil is being sprayed on the body of these elephants to avoid insects and castor oil is being applied on the heads to keep them cool. Other Dasara elephants in the camp are Krishna, Balarama, Gopalaswamy and Varalakshmi.
