Mysore/Mysuru: South Western Railway (SWR), Mysuru Division, has announced that the Mysuru Rail Museum will host a special illumination programme as part of Dasara celebrations from Sept. 22 to Oct. 2 (both days inclusive).

To allow more visitors to experience this event, the Museum’s working hours will be extended until 8 pm during this period.

Visitors are invited to witness the spectacular illumination of vintage steam locomotives, inspection carriages, rail bus, steam fire pump, hand-operated brake-down crane and various other outdoor exhibits.

Additionally, the Museum will remain open to the public on Sept. 23 and 30 (Tuesdays), which are usually holidays.

Photography using SLR/DSLR cameras will be allowed on payment of the prescribed charges.
