Data Entry Operators’ Recruitment: Govt. announces draft rules

Bengaluru: In order to facilitate direct appointment of Stenographers and Data Entry Operators in various Departments, the State Government has amended the Karnataka Civil Services (Recruitment to the posts of Stenographers and Typists) Rules, the draft of which has been published.

As per the amendment, the post of typists has been renamed as ‘Data Entry Operators.’  Those who possess the required qualification, can apply for this post. 

The candidates who qualify in the competitive exam conducted by the Recruitment Authorities will be called for Skill Test, based on rankings in the exam. Those who score more than 50 percent marks in the Skill Test will be considered for appointment, based on the order of merit.
