Day-4: Advocates stay away from Court

Alleged assault on advocate by Cop

Mysuru: Continuing their protest against the alleged assault on advocate and BJP Youth Wing President Gokul Govardhan by Nazarbad SI Yellalinga on Sunday, advocates stayed away from Court proceedings and staged a protest in front of Mahatma Gandhi bust, opposite the Court complex this morning.

The advocates decided to extend their support to the Mahadayi issue and also to continue their protest, till the higher officials in the Police Department take action against SI Yellalinga.

Bar Association President Ramamurthy said that they would stage a massive protest on Monday besides stating that the advocates would stay away from the Court proceedings on Saturday too.

Association Secretary K.B. Suresh, members N. Ravikanth, C.S. Lokesh, Sharada, Shilpa S. Hiremath and others numbering more than 500 took part in the protest.
