The District-level Millets Workshop and Exhibition of National Food Security Mission (NFSM) and National Farmers Day celebration programme will be inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Bagadi Gautham at JSS College on Ooty Road in city on Dec. 23 at 10.30 am.

The event is organised under the joint aegis of JSS Krishi Vignana Kendra (Agricultural Sciences Centre), District Krishika Samaja, Agriculture Technician Institution, Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA). JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath will preside over the inaugural event. ZP CEO A.M. Yogesh, Principal Scientist Dr. B.T. Rayudu, JSS Horticulture Department Director N.M. Shivashankarapa, District Krishika Samaja President Kalmahalli Shivakumar and others will take part. Assistant Professor at the College of Agriculture VC Farm, Mandya, Dr. B.S. Sowmyalatha, H.D. Kote’s Nambike Millet Nagaraj, millet growers, progressive farmer Honnur Prakash will be the resource persons, according to a press release.
