Mysore/Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner Dr. K.V. Rajendra has directed officials to issue notice and take necessary action against Clinics, Private and Government Hospitals if they are found disposing off wastes without segregation.
He was speaking after presiding over a meeting of Bio-waste Management Monitoring Committee at the DHO Office here yesterday. Warning Clinics and Hospitals of action in case of negligence in respect of waste segregation, the DC instructed the DHO to come up with reports on waste segregation and disposal at Clinics and Hospitals.
Dr. Rajendra complimented the Doctors of Jayanagar Community Health Centre (City) and Muguru CHC (Rural) in T. Narasipur taluk for Best State-level Health Centres and Mullur PHC at the District level for 24×7 service. He also complimented the 7 Community Health Centres in Mysuru — Jayanagar and V.V.Puram in Mysuru city and K.R. Nagar, Nanjangud, H.D.Kote and T.Narasipur and Cheluvamba Hospital in Mysuru, for getting National recognition in health care and as well as the Bannimantap Primary Health Centre in the city for getting NQAS (National Quality Assurance Standards) Certification.
